Dustin Kensrue @ The Moon Room, 5/26/15
I love Thrice and Dustin Kensrue, so I jumped at the chance to shoot this show, even though it was at one of my least favorite venues to shoot. No offense to the Moon Room - it's an amazing and very intimate place to see a show, but as a photographer, you basically have to find a spot up front and stay there all night. Which is exactly what I did for this show. Because like I said, I love Dustin Kensrue.
Shooting was definitely a little rough, considering I only really had one angle to work with (until I moved around a bit during Dustin's set) and the lighting was crappy, but I made it work. (Ya know, cause I had to. I would be so mad at myself if I didn't get good shots at this show). Halfway through the show I decided to play with the multiple exposure settings on my camera, which I've never done before and was probably a really reckless move considering I was on assignment, but I love how the double exposures turned out, so I guess I didn't totally screw that up, haha.
I also got to see David Ramirez, who I've liked for quite a while, so that was really awesome! This show was so much fun!
