The Mindsweep Tour @ The Marquis Theatre, 4/14/15
This was... an interesting shoot, to say the very least. When I arrived at The Marquis (early, thankfully) there was virtually no room side stage to stand and take photos, which is usually where I hang out, since The Marquis has no barricade and I'm a small girl with a big camera who doesn't want to get killed in the crowd. But, because the bands' gear was taking up side stage, I staked my claim on a corner in front of the stage and hoped I didn't get crowd surfed on too much throughout the night.
Thankfully, despite sweating my ass off thanks to the tour's beautiful (but really really hot) lighting rig, I walked away with a ton of photos I love and minimal physical damage haha. (For real though, I felt disgusting. I was like dripping with sweat. I know, TMI.)
I The Mighty and A Lot Like Birds were really fun to shoot, but the best bands to shoot were definitely Stray From The Path and Enter Shikari. I love shooting hardcore bands, so Stray was a given, and I knew I'd have fun with Enter Shikari in a venue as small as The Marquis, and I wasn't wrong. Especially when Rou climbed into the crowd. Some of my favorite photos ever!
