Melanie Martinez @ The Ogden, 10/7/15

I want to smack myself when I think about the fact that I never actually planned on shooting this show. I had so much stuff going on in the first week of October that I didn't think I'd be able to shoot Melanie Martinez and had other things that I'd rather do. But, when the opportunity presented itself, I took it, and I'm so glad I did. These photos are some of my favorites I've taken this year. Melanie's lighting and stage setup was gorgeous, her outfit was adorable, and her live presence was amazing. All of that together made for a great show and a bunch of fun photos! The opening band, Handsome Ghost was really good, though I was sad because I didn't get many great photos of them.

But this show was so much fun. I met some great people up on the barricade, and got to be one of only two photographers there!
